Thieves Household Cleaner Flyer

January 31st 2021

This project is titled “Thieves Household Cleaner Flyer”. For this project I wanted to showcase one product from the company, Young Living, that you can incorporate into your life to support living a healthy, low-toxic lifestyle. I made this flyer entirely in Adobe InDesign. The image is one I took myself and the graphic I took from Young Living’s Instagram account!

I typically create a lot of content for social media…I run two different company’s social media outlets, as well as running my own small business Instagram account for essential oils! For this project, I thought creating a flyer would help increase my Adobe InDesign skills and be something different than what I usually create.

Studies show that using traditional cleaning sprays as rarely as once a week can increase your risk of developing adult-onset asthma. Many cleaning chemicals are not only harmful to human health, but can also put animals and the environment at risk (Cleaning Supplies and Your Health).

Let me introduce you to the perfect cleaner in regards to keeping your life clean, low-toxic and environmentally friendly! The Thieves Household Cleaner is an ultra-concentrated plant-based formula that deep cleans, without all the harsh chemicals! (Thieves Household Cleaner). Because of it’s versatility, it can be used for every surface in your home.

You might be wondering what ultra-concentrated means! It means that one 14.4 fl oz bottle of The Thieves Household Cleaner can make you up to 29 bottles! Simply pour one cap full of the cleaner into a 16oz spray bottle and fill the rest with water. You can leave it like that and clean away or even add more love by adding your favorite citrus essential oils from Young Living, such as Lemon and Citrus Fresh.

Healthy living is important to me and I wanted to showcase a staple low-toxic item for you! My biggest take away from this project is keeping it simple and understandable is key when trying to inform readings about a product. One thing that I learned how to do during this project was to shear text! I played around with the title on my flyer and it kept needing an extra element that I could not decide on. I changed the font style and size many times before finding the shear effect, which allowed the text to be at a vertical slant instead of just a normal rotation!

I hope you enjoy my informational flyer and considered switching a ditching chemical products in your life!
